The supervisory board of Deutsche Post, part of the DHL Group, intends to elect Katrin Suder as its chairwoman following the firm’s annual general meeting on May 2.
Suder would succeed Nikolaus von Bomhard, who has decided not to stand for re-election after two terms.
Suder is a supervisory board member and part of the advisory council focusing on digital transformation and sustainable technologies.
She was first elected to the board in 2023 and is a physicist and recognised expert in artificial intelligence.
“She worked for several years as a management consultant at McKinsey and later served as State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Defense,” the post, parcel and logistics firm said. “She also chaired the Digital Council of the German Federal Government.”
Von Bomhard was elected to the supervisory board in 2016 and has served as chairman since 2018.
