The Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card will be issued by Deutsche Bank from October 1, 2025. In addition to the familiar benefits, the card offers improved services and attractive new features – at the same card price. The gradual transition to Deutsche Bank will take place by spring 2026 to ensure a seamless move for all customer groups. Mastercard will remain the partner for the cards.

Proven benefits remain – new services are added

The new partnership between Lufthansa Miles & More and Deutsche Bank brings both proven benefits and attractive innovations. As a special gesture of appreciation, cardholders will not be charged a card fee for the first month after the transition and will also receive an exclusive changeover bonus in the form of miles and points, depending on their card product and frequent flyer status.

“With the new Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card, we have developed a product with Deutsche Bank that offers our customers significant added value – with proven services, attractive innovations, and a fresh design. We look forward to offering our customers even more benefits as part of this strong partnership,” said Dieter Vranckx, Chief Commercial Officer of the Lufthansa Group.

“We are focusing on growth with Lufthansa’s successful loyalty program. With the new credit card, we are expanding our offering for our customers as a global principal bank worldwide and look forward to offering them further attractive benefits and services in the future,” said Ole Matthiessen, Head of Cash Management at Deutsche Bank.

“We are delighted to be working with our partners to usher in a new era for one of the world’s most successful loyalty programs. The new Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card offers cardholders a wide range of benefits – from secure and convenient payments to exclusive travel and lifestyle experiences,” said Dr. Peter Robejsek, Managing Director of Mastercard Germany.

Seamless transition and close support

Holders of a Miles & More credit card are currently being informed in writing about the next steps in the transition. Of course, the earning of miles will continue throughout the transition phase. Frequent flyers will be contacted first and can benefit from a special transition bonus. Credit card holders without frequent flyer status and new customers will follow gradually. All users will receive support during the transition process – either online or in person. The credit card must be reapplied for as part of the bank change. Existing DKB credit cards will remain fully valid until the individual change or subsequent cancellation by DKB. From October 1, 2025, new applicants will find information on the application process on the Miles & More credit card website.

The change affects the entire Miles & More credit card portfolio in Germany – from the My Flex Credit Card and Blue Credit Card to the Gold Credit Card and the exclusive credit cards for frequent travelers, senators, and HON Circle members. All business cards for self-employed individuals and companies will also be transferred to Deutsche Bank.
